Susanna Heron has been appointed by St John’s College Oxford to prepare a work of art for the exterior of a new Study Centre at St John’s College Library with Wright & Wright Architects. The 17th century St John’s College library is housed within one of the greatest architectural quadrangles in Oxford, Canterbury Quadrangle. The medium will be a shallow relief and engraving for the external stone wall to a new Study Centre. The wall forms a backdrop to a garden and is comprised of 5 stepped faces occupying an area measuring 27.5 metres long x 4 metres high with a stream of water proposed at the foot. related works |
