Susanna Heron has been appointed by St John’s College Oxford for the final stage of a work of art for the exterior of a new Study Centre at St John’s College Library with Wright & Wright Architects. Due for completion late 2017. The 17th century St John’s College library is housed within one of the greatest architectural quadrangles in Oxford, Canterbury Quadrangle. The medium will be a shallow relief and engraving for the external stone wall to a new Study Centre. The wall forms a backdrop to a garden and is comprised of 5 stepped faces occupying an area measuring 27.5 metres long x 4 metres high with a stream of water proposed at the foot. related works |
