“This work is both charged and completed by the quality of marine light particular to Bristol. The sound reflecting from the wall of bronze on a busy road reminds me unexpectedly of the steel hulks of the shipyard.”
Negative relief in glass and bronze integral to the facade of Portland Roche fossil-stone on The House of Fraser, Cabot Circus, Bristol. Bronze panels cast and precision milled to a sheer plane, interspersed with brass cassettes, 7 m x 35 m at ground level. Sandblasted and etched three storey glass window, 14.4 m x 13.4 m located above the bronze frieze.
